Have All Of Us Been Feeling This Way?

Hellooooo, people. This is going to be one of those write-ups where I know what to write (finally, after what feels like ages) but don't have any idea about the ending. Most of my thoughts have been incomplete lately -- some because I couldn't get an end to and some because escape through the mid-way seemed a better way than to reach the end . So, before it's too late, I gotta write something about whether I've got an end in my mind or not. So, here we go. The topic I've on my mind right now is: Is it just me or are we 'all' stuck? I don't know if this is happening to most of us or just me, but hear me out. See if you relate to this.  Almost everyone around me seems either busy or upset. The busy doesn't mean they're working too hard but just that they ain't getting anything done. The upset doesn't mean something went down for them and they're upset but that they ain't in the right vibe 'cause a lot of things are just not goin...

Doesn't Your Heart Need To Breathe?

Hellooooo, people. "You don't ask people with knives in their stomachs what would make them happy; happiness is no longer the point. It's all about survival; it's all about whether you pull the knife out and bleed to death or keep it in." ~Nick Hornby This quote, gawd! I've got a lot to say today so put out a strong quote which conveys some of my feelings already. In one of my write-ups exactly an year ago, I wrote about how our hearts are covered with blankets under which we've got a lot of things buried. I mentioned a quote saying how there's always something unspoken between two people and I had stated under it, that, it's not just between people; but between us and our hearts too. Today's write-up is going to be about uncovering the blankets, even if it's a thin layer. In that write-up, I mentioned I'm gonna go gather some courage to do that and after exactly an year, I'm here to tell you that I did gather it. I did pick up a co...

Have You Ever Made Tough Decisions?

Hellooooo, people. Today's write-up is going to be about decisions. Of all kinds: easy, tough, sweet, rough, hard, entangled, nice, compelled. Although this write-up is about all types of decisions and the whole spectrum of love as well, I'm going to frame it around two decisions that people make. you've lived a life so you don't need to be told every possible example; you're smart enough First, when someone tells the other person that they want to be with them -- in a relationship, in an FWB thing, in a partnership or simply wanna grow old with them. And, second, when they tell their so-and-so that they can't be with them anymore -- because they don't want to or for some other xyz reason. "To love someone is firstly to confess: I'm prepared to be devastated by you." ~Billy-Ray Belcourt, A History Of My Brief Body When you confess your love to someone, you're also giving them the chance to hurt you. Fortunately or unfortunately, you can...

What Are We Suffering From, Exactly?

Hellooooo, people. "He who fears he shall suffer, already suffers from what he fears." ~Michel De Montaigne I especially sat down to find this quote to put here because I had a moment yesterday where I felt this. I remember reading a lot of quotes, watching scenes, images from my imagination while reading novels and glances of flashbacks of the people I've had encounters with.  you might too, a few if not a lot One of the most mesmerising things about art -- writings, plays, poems, stories, movies, series, music and so on -- is that when you don't find the words to express what you're feeling, you subconsciously -- or intentionally -- go to art.  You turn to art and put your finger on things which feel similar to your emotions to say ' this is what I want to express. ' I asked a few people to give me their views on this quote and damn, they had nothing . I was looking forward to pick out examples which match to the ones I had in my mind. But I did get some...

Anniversaries Might Not Be What You Think

Hellooooo, people. shower of balloons Happy One Year Anniversary of the blogs at Unwinding Heart. yayyyyy Today is the date I posted the first blog last year. OMG, the whole year, I've done this. One! shower of colorful glittery paper pieces Today, we're going to talk about- drum-rolls , please? Anniversaries. Anniversary is the word that stirs so many feelings in us. The moment you say anniversary, the next thing you're curious about is the timeline. how many years has it been?  is it third? oh, fourth? omg, has it been twenty years already? wait, one year? is it, really? When you read anniversary, you think of birthdays, wedding anniversaries, opening of a new business and so on. Let me tell you what I get in my mind when I read anniversary. The first time someone said I Love You. Death anniversary. The first time someone was kissed. The moment someone had an accide...

How Do You Measure The Weight Of Gestures?

Hellooooo, people. First of all, I'M LATE!  sowwie, even if you don't mind me being late 'cause I was super stressed for n number of reasons, had six consecutive nights of nightmares followed by the worst set of exams I've ever taken, which was followed by physical illness; and all of this alongside handling some other issues Let me tell you what just happened first. That's the motivation for today's topic. I came to the library today a little before time and I was like ' wow, I'm so early '. The temperature which was above the forties for days, it came down to thirty. I got a seat on the bus and the guard uncles -- one at the main gate and the other at the library entry -- talked to me; which is rare for me . So, all good, right? this has been the only best for a few days I entered the library. The person who sits there said just wait a few minutes, it's not nine yet. I started to turn when the sweeper uncle said, is it time yet? -- pointing tow...

Are We Trapped By Our Minds?

Hellooooo, people. "When you're born in a burning house, you think the whole world is on fire. But it's not." ~ Richard Kadrey,  Aloha from Hell   First of all, how much beauty people put in their sentences is one of the things I can't stop appreciating.  look at this quote, damn Let's talk about this quote. There are a lot of ways people grasp a certain line. I'll tell you mine for this one. What I thought of after reading this quote is: When we're in a terrible situation, we tend to stop looking the other way around. If your house is burning, what are you supposed to do? Look for how to extinguish the fire, maybe. Or run for the exit. Or if the door is closed, try to break it. Or if it doesn't get opened still, call out for help through the window. You can think of ten more solutions in this moment. But, when we would actually be in a burning house, we would run out of options. We don't have as many solutions in that moment as we would have r...
